Programme

Tailor-make your own programme by selecting from any of these streams over Day One and Day Two:

Stream One: Public Private Partnerships

In this stream we will focus on how to create customised mechanisms across the sectors, learn how to make these viable in the long run, as well as, discover how to address the various challenges faced when adopting this financing model. We will examine how to orchestrate a balance risk sharing matrix, look at the importance of contract renegotiation and create project development facilities. Also explore how to strengthen PPP procurement and delivery, establish transparent tendering and bidding mechanisms to encourage private sector involvement, as well as, develop market-credible projects.

Stream Two: Alternative Financing

Here you will uncover the role of funding institutions, explore alternativefinancing mechanisms and embrace partnerships with private institutions, banks, local governments and multilaterals to increase the capacity of infrastructure funding and diversify long term funding sources. Also, explore how to unlock the potential of project bonds, mezzanine, syndicated and Islamic financing, as well as, how to gain investors confidence to attract interest from pension funds and other alternatives to advance development opportunities.

Day Three – Full Day Workshop: Project Financing & Delivery

Attend this workshop to advance knowledge of innovative project finance and benefitting from practical insights that will enable you to successfully arrange long-term financing for bankable infrastructure projects.
